The green oriole is formed from earthenware and glazed using a manual dipping method. Each piece is then painted by hand, with brushstrokes layered to create tonal variation. The legs and branch are cast in oxidized brass using traditional sand molds and left untreated to preserve the character of the metal. Subtle differences in glaze and surface reflect the individuality of every handmade piece.

This piece is made in the Oeste region, a coastal region in Portugal with a long-standing tradition of ceramic and metalwork.
